Learning Blog

This blog is to share my learning with you for the month. It is a good idea to keep a journal, that way you always have your marker in the sand.

When you are travelling on any kind of journey it is good to reflect on where you have been. Sometimes we don't realise how far we have come...

  Wintry January

Well January wasn't just as dark this year thanks to all the snow and frost.  The snow makes everywhere seem so beautiful and I do love it however I did get a bit fed up with it going on as long.  I met loads of people who felt exactly the same as me, fed up clearing the drive and shovelling snow from one place to another and praying it would melt soon. However I met another set of people who made me look at things a whole lot differently...

And those were the people that had fun in the snow.  They went sledging, they built snow men, they had snow ball fights and no they weren't under the age of sixteen - they were all adults.  We get so caught up in the hype we are bombarded from the media we forget that if this is the most snow we have had in fifty years then it will probably be the last we have for another fifty years and I didn't even build a snow man!! Who doesn't smile when they see a snow man?  Simple pleasures.

So I see this is another learning about living in the moment and appreciating what we do have and not what we don't have or are waiting to have and yes I will buy a snow shovel but more importantly I will build a snow man if I get a second chance.
